Texas Gov. Greg Abbott praised the Trump administration for its efforts.
Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX), whose state has been battered by Hurricane Harvey over the past few days, praised the Trump administration for its “tremendous help” in responding to the natural disaster in an appearance on CNN on Sunday.
“I’ve talked to President Trump several times, as well as his cabinet officials,” Abbott told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “We’re getting absolutely everything we need.”
The Texas governor said that he had just requested that the Trump administration add Houston to its disaster declaration, and he expected them to approve the request quickly.
“We’re having a White House that is being very responsive, very concerned about the people of Texas, and a tremendous help to us,” he said.
