The RNC now has $45.8 million cash on hand and no debt.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced that it had raised $7.3 million in the month of August, bringing its total fundraising for the year to $93.3 million.
The RNC had $45.8 million cash on hand at the end of August with no debt. Politico reported that the RNC’s, “August fundraising total is slightly more than the $6.7 million the RNC raised during August of 2013, the last off-year leading up to a midterm election.”
“The Republican Party continues to thrive because of steady support from the American people,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel said in a statement. “We are thankful for individuals across the country who have expressed confidence in us to support President Trump and defend Republican majorities in Congress.”
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has not yet reported its August fundraising numbers, but the DNC has struggled in 2017 to keep pace with the RNC’s fundraising totals.
