The secretary of state wouldn't "dignify" those questions with an answer.

Over an almost four minute segment with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson refused to deny that he called President Trump “a moron” at a meeting over the summer.

“I’m not going to deal with that kind of petty stuff,” Tillerson said. “This is a town that seems to relish gossip, rumor, innuendo, and they feed on it.”

“I’m just not going to dignify the question,” he added, saying he had a “very open, frank, and candid relationship” with the president.

Tapper pressed Tillerson on the issue, but the secretary would not offer a concrete answer.

“I’m not playing,” he responded, refusing to answer the question. “These are the destructive games of this town.”

“You want to make a game out of it? I’m not playing,” Tillerson said, criticizing the CNN host for spending so much time on the issue.

Tapper asked Tillerson one more time about the issue.

“I’m not dignifying the question with an answer,” the secretary responded, defiantly.
