Tim Kaine held a press conference outside the historic 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama on Friday.
Kaine attacked Donald Trump’s foundation for a contribution to Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, saying, “Charitable money is supposed to be used for charity.”
“The Foundation was being used basically to promote a money-making, fraudulent venture of Donald Trump’s, and that’s not what charities are supposed to do,” Kaine added. “That’s not what charitable foundations are supposed to do,” Kaine went on to say.
Unfortunately for Kaine, the Clinton Foundation has spent more than $50 million Bill Clinton’s travel expenses alone.
The Clinton family has been accused multiple times of using the Clinton Foundation to secure high speaking fees. In 2012, for instance, Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a speech in Italy “in part because of the Foundation’s work fighting childhood obesity.”
