In one of his first mentions of foreign policy at the vice presidential debate, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) highlighted several Obama admin policies that have had questionable results.
Sen. Kaine’s job is to defend the Clinton foreign policy doctrine at Tuesday’s debate, but he found himself defending Clinton and Obama foreign policy quagmires early in the debate.
He touted Obama/Clinton drawdowns of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, even though some have noted Obama may leave three or more wars behind.
Kaine also talked about Clinton’s work with Russia, omitting Russia’s increasing brazen aggression on the world stage.
Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN) called Kaine out for his defense of the Iran nuclear weapons program, after Kaine claimed Obama/Clinton eliminated the Iranian nuclear weapons program.
The Washington Free Beacon reported on Tuesday that “[t]he Obama administration misled journalists and lawmakers for more than nine months about a secret agreement to lift international sanctions on a critical funding node of Iran’s ballistic missile program.”
