Just hours after Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) failed to defeat Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to become the leader of House Democrats, he appeared CNN to discuss the results.
CNN’s Brooke Baldwin asked Ryan about President-elect Donald Trump’s successful negotiations with Carrier, which resulted in 1,000 jobs staying in Indiana instead of moving to Mexico.
“Hey, look, I’m all for workers staying in the United States, and if President Trump did it, he should be commended for doing that,” Ryan told Baldwin. “Look, congratulations. That’s great, I mean let’s not wish bad for a thousand workers because we voted against the guy who made it happen. I’m not going to play that game.”
