Trump Dines With Navy SEAL Who Killed Bin Laden

Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill took credit for killing Bin Laden in 2012.

President Trump welcomed former Senior Chief Petty Officer Robert O’Neill, the Navy SEAL famous for killing Osama Bin Laden, and his wife to the White House for dinner Tuesday night.

O’Neill tweeted that the president was “a great host,” with a picture of himself and his wife outside the White House.

O’Neill was a member of the May 2, 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan that killed Osama Bin Laden. In 2012, O’Neill went public with the information that he fired the shots that took down the man behind the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S. history.

Bin Laden had been on the run for almost 10 years before O’Neill and his team caught up with him. The moment marked one of the most successful American triumphs against terrorism in the 21st century.

Now the former Navy SEAL appears on Fox News as a contributor and is an author. His latest book, “The Operator,” details his experiences as a Navy SEAL and the mission that took out Bin Laden.
