Did the president indicate that no tapes of his conversations with Comey exist?
President Trump told the media at a press conference on Thursday that they will be “very disappointed” by his announcement on whether recordings exist of his conversations with former FBI Director James Comey.
Trump said that he will announce in a “very short period of time” whether the recordings exist.
As he attempted to move on, members of the press yelled at the president for a definitive answer on the quesiton.
“You’re going to be very disappointed when you hear the answer, don’t worry,” Trump said.
The president’s answer indicate that either the tapes do not exist, or he thinks any tapes vindicate him against false claims from the media.
