President-elect Donald Trump held an event at the Carrier plant on Thursday in Indiana where a deal struck by Trump helped to save more than 1,000 jobs.
During his speech, Trump promised that there would be consequences for any company that tries to leave the United States.
“I said to some of the folks, I said companies are not going to leave the United States anymore without consequences. Not going to happen. It’s not going to happen,” Trump told the crowd to raucous applause.
Trump went on to lay out how he plans to keep companies in the United States by lowering the business tax from 35 percent to 15 percent and eliminating regulations that hinder growth.
