The White House press corp has expressed concern about the possibility of being moved out of the West Wing in a Trump administration.
But President-elect Donald Trump assured reporters that his administration would not be moving the press corp out of the West Wing during an interview on Fox News on Tuesday.
“We had a lot of people showing up for press conferences, et cetera, including briefings, and the room is too small. We said we are going to move it to a larger room in a nearby area but not the same area,” Trump explained. “The press went crazy. So I said, ‘Let’s not move it,’ but some people in the press will not be able to get in because there’s just too many… people for the small room.”
