Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Thursday that she agreed that the Clinton campaign had “rigged” the 2016 Democratic presidential primary, a question stemming from former interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile’s op-ed Thursday.

“Do you agree with the notion that [the primary] was rigged?” Tapper asked Warren.

“Yes!” she responded, shaking her head.

Prior to the question, Warren had tried to dodge addressing the question, stressing the importance of restoring trust in the system.

“We’ve got to hold this party accountable,” she said. “This is a test for Tom Perez.”

The senator warned that if Perez failed, the party would fracture.

Warren has been repeatedly mentioned as a top 2020 hopeful for the Democratic nomination.
