Both claim they never leaked anything about President Trump, his associates, or Russia’s involvement in the election to the media.
Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and the former acting Attorney General Sally Yates both denied leaking any classified information regarding President Trump, his associates, or Russia’s involvement in the election to the media during a Senate Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on Monday.
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) asked if either Clapper or Yates had been an “anonymous source in a news report about matters relating to Mr. Trump, his associates, or Russia’s attempt to mettle in the election?”
“No,” Clapper responded.
“Absolutely not,” Yates told Grassley emphatically.
