At this week’s Harvard Kennedy School post-election gathering, Bloomberg‘s Sasha Issenberg asked Jeff Zucker about criticism that CNN gave Donald Trump too much airtime.
Issenberg noted that Trump had one interview with Don Lemon that was, “like, an hour-and-a-half,” to laughter and applause from the audience.
Zucker noted the Lemon interview and claimed that any of Trump’s opponents could have called in to CNN’s New Day “but they declined.”
Issenberg then said he wanted to move on to the subject of “fake news,” but one audience member shouted that, with CNN, “you just covered that!”
