After Saying America Wasn’t Great, Cuomo Calls Trump ‘Anti-American’

Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), days after saying that the United States was “never that great,” accused President Trump of being “anti-American,” according to a reporter on a conference call with the governor.

The New York Daily News’ Dan Rivoli reported that Cuomo says he “boffed” his comment about America, and the governor tried to turn the tables on Trump.

It’s an interesting turn, considering the governor was the one who blasted America this week.

The president has criticized Cuomo on social media in the days since his comment, sending tweets after his home state governor.

Cuomo is clearly desperate to push the heat off of himself and onto another target.
