Atlantic Council CEO Fred Kempe said that President Trump and his delegation are receiving positive reviews from people at Davos for their active involvement in the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Friday.

Axios’ Mike Allen asked Kempe whether CEOs, who are grateful for the policies that Trump has enacted, have changed their view of Trump.

“The fact of the matter is they don’t like his demeanor. They don’t like the way he talks,” Kempe said to Allen. “But, then, they say look at what’s going on. Look at the outcome. It’s better for me.”

Kempe then expressed worry that there is, in his opinion, “a lot of complacency about the global economy, and there’s a lot of complacency about where we are in the stock market.”

“But people are feeling pretty good right now. And so Trump, I think much to the surprise of a lot of people, is here. Biggest delegation the U.S has ever had here,” Kempe continued.

“The other thing that people are saying is that Cabinet members, and the delegations is all over the place. They are participating in dinners. They are participating in workshops, they’re really rolling up their sleeves,” Kempe concluded. “So you’re hearing the kind of positive feeling that I talking to people at the bar, etcetera, you wouldn’t have expected.”
