Axios: Michael Wolff is Writing ‘Fire and Fury’ II

Controversial author Michael Wolff will write a sequel to his 2017 insider look at the Trump White House, “Fire and Fury,” according to a report by Axios’s Mike Allen.

Wolff told Allen that he resigned with his original publisher after the commercial success of his first book. The book “sold a record-shattering 2 million copies in the U.S., and nearly as many abroad (700,000 in the U.K. alone),” Allen writes.

“Fire and Fury” painted an unflattering picture of the administration and president, chronicling White House in-fighting and Trump’s alleged inability to serve in the position.

The book’s extensive quotation of Steve Bannon led to a rift between the president and his former chief strategist, and Breitbart ousted its once-powerful executive.

But a number of factual inaccuracies brought into question the veracity of the book’s assertions. Wolff alleged, without evidence, that Trump had an affair with UN Ambassador Nikki Haley. Most journalists took issue with the claim.
