CNN is reporting that Saudi Arabia is preparing a report in which they will admit to killing Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, who disappeared earlier this month after he went to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

Saudi Arabia has denied accusations that they killed Khashoggi, but now according to Mediaite “the Saudis are preparing a report that they intended to abduct and bring Khashoggi back to Saudi Arabia, but that he was inadvertently killed in the process.”

CNN’s Clarissa Ward has speculated that the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman knew about the plan that resulted in Khashoggi’s death, despite Saudi denials.

Two possible Democratic candidates for president in 2020, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Apple CEO Tim Cook, both met this year with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, who is known as MBS.

In March, MBS had coffee with Bloomberg at a New York City Starbucks.

Then, in April, MBS met with Silicon Valley tech executives, “including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Alphabet Co-Founder Sergey Brin, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai,” according to Fortune.

It’s not clear how Bloomberg’s and Cook’s association with MBS could impact their political futures.
