CBS News finds itself in hot water after receiving criticism from actress Kerry Washington, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) for not having a single African-American reporter in the network’s 2020 news division.

CBS News associate producer Ben Mitchell tweeted out a picture of CBS’s 2020 election team on Friday.

“This WH admin has made having a functional understanding of race in America one of the most important core competencies for a political journalist to have yet @CBSNews hasn’t assigned a single black journalist to cover the 2020 election,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Saturday. “Unacceptable in 2019. Try again.”

Then on Sunday, Kerry Washington tweeted out her displeasure with CBS News:

“This group is the initial wave of what will be an outstanding and diverse group of journalists assigned to cover the 2020 election for CBS News,” a CBS News spokesperson said Sunday night, according to Variety.

Waters joined Ocasio-Cortez and Washington in their criticism of CBS News when she tweeted her own objections to the 2020 team on Monday.

“CBS, the efforts on your website about your support for diversity fly in the face of your display of all of the reporters you’ve selected for the 2020 campaign. Not one Black,” Waters tweeted on Monday.
