Clinton Doesn’t Mention Accusations Against Kavanaugh At Women’s Power Luncheon

"So, while Clinton did not speak of Kavanaugh or his accusers, those topics were certainly in the room for the women that showed up here at the Fairmont," NBC's Mark Matthews reported.

Hillary Clinton headlined the annual Ultimate Women Power Luncheon fundraiser for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on Monday and touched on a number of topics relevant to women voters ahead of the midterm elections.

NBC San Francisco pointed out, however, that one topic was notably absent from Hillary Clinton’s campaign-style speech targeting women voters: the allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

NBC’s Mark Matthews interviewed several women who attended the event about Clinton’s speech. Reporters were not allowed to attend the event.

They told Matthews that Clinton’s message was focused on the women running for office this cycle and the importance of women voting in the upcoming elections.

“So, while Clinton did not speak of Kavanaugh or his accusers, or the [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller’s investigation, or the president, all of those topics were certainly in the room for the women that showed up here at the Fairmont,” Matthews reported.

It’s not surprising that Clinton might not want to address the accusations against Kavanaugh, given the numerous allegations leveled against her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and her involvement in discrediting those accusers through the years.
