Clinton Supporter Criticizes Obama Response to Russian Interference

A former Clinton surrogate told CNN that the candidate's inside circle was livid at President Obama's weakness.

Former Clinton surrogate and former New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn said on CNN on Monday that the inside circle of the Clinton campaign was “frustrated” by the Obama administration’s failure to confront Russian interference in the 2016 election.

“I’m a big fan of President Obama’s obviously, but there’s no question that things were going on, that meddling was occurring in the presidential race,” Quinn said.

She claimed that she was not the only Clinton surrogate who thought Obama could have done more.

“I think it was a frustration for all of us close to the Clinton campaign towards to the end, and after the election, about why President Obama didn’t move more quickly and more aggressively,” Quinn added.

President Trump tweeted Monday morning that Obama was to blame for allowing the Russian interference on his watch:
