CNN Highlights Apple’s Plans to Drastically Cut iPhone X Production

Apple's stock fell 2.1 percent on Monday after reports it is cutting back production of the expensive new iPhone X.

CNN’s Jake Tapper highlighted on Tuesday Apple’s announcement that it will be drastically cutting production of it’s $1,000 iPhone X.

According to reports, Apple will cut production of the costly phone for a three-month period.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

“Apple plans to make about 20 million iPhone X handsets in the first quarter, down from roughly 40 million initially planned, according to a person with knowledge of Apple’s production goals. Other people familiar with the iPhone supply chain said Apple had cut orders for components used in the iPhone X by 60%.”

After it was reported that Apple is cutting back production of the costly phone, Apple’s stock fell 2.1 percent on Monday.
