CNN to Host James Comey Town Hall to Mark 2 Years Since His Firing

CNN announced on Tuesday evening that they will hold a town hall with former FBI Director James Comey to mark the two year anniversary of President Trump firing him as director of the FBI.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper will moderate the town wall, which is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. ET on May 9 from Washington, D.C.

“The town hall will be held exactly two years to the day after President Donald Trump fired Comey, citing Comey’s handling of the probe into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.”

Comey’s firing by Trump was the catalyst that launched Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether Trump’s 2016 campaign coordinated with the Russian government.

Since being removed from office, Comey has been a vocal critic of Trump and his administration. He previously participated in a CNN town hall in 2018.
