U.K. Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn confirmed to Sky News on Monday that he did indeed attend a ceremony honoring the Palestinian terrorists who murdered 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics, and he claimed that he was not “involved” in the event. But photographic evidence shows the politician intimately engaged in the ceremony, putting the wreath on the memorial.

Last week, The Daily Mail uncovered photographs of Corbyn attending the ceremony which show him holding the wreath, laying the wreath, and praying with attendees.

On Monday, he told Sky News that he was “present” at the event, but the Labour politician said. “I don’t think I was actually involved in it.”

If the photographic documentation isn’t evidence enough of Corbyn’s participation in the ceremony, perhaps Corbyn’s own words could convince any unbelievers. In 2017, the Labour politician detailed his involvement in the ceremony, saying he helped lay the wreath to honor the terrorists.

Allegations of anti-semitism have dogged the prime minister-hopeful as he has ascended in U.K. politics. He has aligned himself with anti-semitic activists in opposition to Israel, and his comparisons of Israel’s actions to Nazi Germany have sparked controversy.

Honoring murderers of Israeli athletes won’t do anything to stamp out those accusations.
