Phil Noble, a Democratic candidate for governor in South Carolina, has developed an interesting approach in his campaign: attacking potential constituents.

“South Carolina is one of the most special, unique, sometimes crazy and bizarre places in this country. We are – I mean – we have plenty of crazies in this state,” Noble said.

These remarks by Noble came during a recent speech to the Charleston County Democratic Party (CCDP), and seemed to echo comments that Hillary Clinton recently made regarding Trump supporters while in India.

During a discussion at the India Today Conclave, Clinton suggested that women who voted for Trump did so out of some sort of “pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.” Clinton added that Trump supporters didn’t like African Americans “getting rights,” or women “getting jobs.”

For a party that claims to be more inclusive, Democratic candidates have a funny way of showing it.
