Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI), who has been a vocal critic of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, admitted Thursday that the women who have accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct have no corroborating evidence to back up their claims during an interview with NPR.

The NPR host asked Hirono about comments that she made during a recent CNN interview in which she said she doesn’t believe Kavanaugh’s denials because of how he interprets the law.

“Well, how else can I deal with this because I think the entire hearing today, without any corroborating evidence and without the testimony of Mark Judge who was there who’s a really close friend of Judge Kavanaugh, we are left with deciding who is the more credible person,” Hirono said.
