Former CIA officer Valerie Plame, who recently announced that she intends to run for Congress in New Mexico, is in hot water for a string of very anti-Semitic tweets she made dating back to 2015.

Plame became the center of national attention in 2003 when she was outed as a CIA operative in a column by Robert Novak.

“America’s Jews Are Driving America’s Wars,” Plame tweeted in 2017, linking to an article from The Unz Review, which had a similar title.

The article Plame tweeted suggested that American Jews should be labeled as such whenever they appear on TV or voice their opinion.

“For those American Jews who lack any shred of integrity, the media should be required to label them at the bottom of the television screen whenever they pop up, e.g. Bill Kristol is ‘Jewish and an outspoken supporter of the state of Israel.’ That would be kind-of-like a warning label on a bottle of rat poison – translating roughly as ‘ingest even the tiniest little dosage of the nonsense spewed by Bill Kristol at your own peril.”

The author of the article, Philip Giraldiof, was almost immediately fired by “The American Conservative, where he had been a regular contributor for fourteen years,” for the anti-Semitic article.

Plame attempted to backtrack her comments in a string of tweets, which have since been deleted, according to The Federalist.

The Federalist pointed out, however, that this wasn’t the first anti-Semitic tweet by Plame.

“In 2015, she shared a link to a post criticizing the role of Jewish people serving in Congress.”

“War Inside The Beltway,” the headline reads. “Israeli-occupied Congress confronts the White House.”

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) was quick to condemn Plame’s anti-Semitic comments and compared Plame’s Twitter feed to a “fever dream of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories” that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) might have.

“The socialist Democrats have a serious anti-Semite problem if bigots like Valerie Plame are seen as acceptable candidates. If socialist Democrat leadership and the DCCC won’t disavow Plame’s candidacy, they are complicit in giving a platform to her hate speech,” NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera said in a statement.
