Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz bashed Michael Avenatti’s client’s affidavit that accuses Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, of attending parties in the 1980s where ‘gang rapes’ occurred, saying any competent lawyer could tear it apart in 30 seconds during an interview on Wednesday.

“That affidavit is so deeply flawed and so open-ended that any good lawyer, any good defense attorney would be able to tear that apart in 30 seconds,” Dershowitz told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. “It’s an embarrassment to the law that anybody would file an affidavit like that, filled with hearsay.”

Carlson asked Dershowitz if there could be any consequences for Avenatti for filling such a flawed affidavit.

Dershowitz told Carlson that he doesn’t think the affidavit crossed the line that would result in Avenatti being disbarred.
