JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said that he doesn’t trust the United States government to honor its word and advised fellow CEOs not to trust government during an interview with CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin that will air Wednesday evening.

Sorkin asked Dimon what lesson CEO’s learned from the 2008 financial crisis and how to deal with the United States government in the future.

“I wouldn’t take their word. There is no word. The next government can do whatever they want,” Dimon said. “I don’t know if the American public knows that. You can agree with whatever you want with this government, [and] the next one could change their mind.”

Sorkin interviewed Dimon as part of the CNBC original, “Crisis On Wall Street: The Week That Shook The World,” which “details the events leading up to the 2008 financial crisis” and looks back on lessons learned from the 2008 financial crisis.
