Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Tom Perez wouldn’t give a clear answer about whether the DNC would be receiving Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) valuable campaign email list during an interview on MSNBC on Monday night.

Perez appeared on MSNBC following the first leg of the DNC’s “Unity Tour,” which features Perez and Sen. Sanders and aims to build grassroots activism in purple and red states by holding rallies.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid asked Perez if Sanders was going to turn over his email list to the DNC, pointing out that it’s widely considered the most valuable item for the Democratic Party from the 2016 election. Reid also wanted to know if Perez had asked Sanders for the list.

“That’s a question for him,” Perez said, despite being the chairman of the DNC.

Perez went on to tell Reid that he didn’t ask Secretary Hillary Clinton to hand over her email list, nor would he ask Sanders to hand over his email list.

Clinton handed over her email list to the DNC earlier in the week. He campaign’s list was valued at $3.5 million by the Federal Election Commission.

Perez never answered Reid’s question, choosing to talk instead about the DNC’s “Unity Tour.”

It would appear that Democratic Party is anything but unified, considering in Perez’s name was booed at the Maine stop on the tour, and Sanders continues to refuse to hand over his email list to the party.
