"I think they may," Sam Nunberg said about the possibility of whether special counsel Robert Mueller has something on Donald Trump.

Former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg told MSNBC on Monday that he thinks special counsel Robert Mueller “may” have something on President Trump.

The Washington Post reported that Nunberg would ignore a subpoena he had received from special counsel Mueller to appear before a grand jury.

MSNBC’s Katy Tur asked Nunberg about his meeting with Mueller’s investigators, and whether he thinks they have something on Trump.

“I think they may,” Nunberg responded. “I think he may have done something during the election. But I don’t know that for sure.”

Tur asked Nunberg why he thought that.

“The way they asked questions, about anything I heard after I was fired from the campaign to the general election to even November 1, it insinuated to me that he may have done something,” Nunberg explained.
