Sen. Claire McCaskill’s (D-MO) reelection campaign is getting help from a former Enron executive’s political organization in the form of a six-figure ad-buy ahead of this November’s election.

Patients for Affordable Drugs Action announced that they would be launching a $700,000 ad campaign to support McCaskill in her reelection bid against Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley (R-MO) on Wednesday.

Patients for Affordable Drugs Action is an organization that has largely been funded by liberal billionaire and former Enron executive John Arnold’s Action Now Initiative (ANI).

Arnold, who made a fortune while working for Enron, has been using his immense wealth to parachute into states across America to promote his liberal agenda.

The Laura and John Arnold Foundation has been pushing for local soda taxes, pension reform, bail reform, and the redrawing of political districts across America.

This isn’t Arnold’s first foray into Missouri politics, either. Last month, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that ANI had donated $312,000 to Clean Missouri, a group that is backing the Amendment 1 referendum on the November ballot.

Arnold is also a vocal critic of President Trump and recently tweeted his support for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

A recent poll found McCaskill to be least popular senator up for reelection.
