Fox News named The Federalist Society’s Leonard Leo as its “Power Player of the Week” on Sunday for his work in aiding President Trump select qualified, conservative judges.

Fox’s Chris Wallace called him Trump’s “Supreme Court whisperer” during the segment, pointing out that he helped the president select Neil Gorsuch for his first nomination. He also worked to get Justices Clarence Thomas, John Roberts, and Samuel Alito nominated and confirmed.

“The job of a judge is to enforce the Constitution as it’s written,” Leo said.

The Federalist Society vice president told Wallace that “the odds are high” that a number of the aging justices on the Supreme Court will retire, making it likely President Trump will appoint another few judges to the bench.

Leo described the late Justice Antonin Scalia as an inspiration for The Federalist Society’s work, calling Scalia’s office, “The Originalist Temple.”

He told Wallace that Trump is working toward a “fundamental transformation of the federal bench.”
