GOP Senator Calls Out ‘Dumbass’ Resistance to Kavanaugh

During a press conference on Judge Brett Kavanuagh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) criticized Democrats’ “dumbass” approach to Supreme Court nominations.

Hatch called on Democrats to end their resistance to Kavanuagh’s nomination. “We can’t keep going down this partisan, picky, stupid, dumbass road that has happened around here,” he said.

“He’s got all the legal credentials you’d ever want in a Supreme Court Justice,” the senator explained. “It’s just amazing to me that [Democrats] make such a farce out of this.”

The Senate will ultimately vote to confirm Kavanaugh, Hatch predicted. “If anybody deserves to be on the Supreme Court, [Kavanaugh] certainly does,” he added.
