"I just wish we could have a hearing where the nominee's kids could show up. Is that asking too much?" Graham said.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) blasted protestors who attended Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing on Wednesday, saying he wished “we could have a hearing where the nominee’s kids could show up.”

Kavanaugh’s “two young daughters were rushed from the hearing room” on Tuesday after it had become heated, according to the Washington Examiner.

“It was very unpleasant for young children,” an insider told the Examiner.

Graham asked Kavanaugh what he told his children about the hearing.

Kavanaugh explained to Graham that his children gave him “a big hug” and told him, “Good job, Daddy.”

“I just wish we could have a hearing where the nominee’s kids could show up. Is that asking too much?” Graham said.

A protestor then attempted to interrupt Graham, but Graham shouted her down.

“So what kind of country have we become?” Graham asked. “None of this happened just a couple years ago. It’s getting worse and worse and worse, and all of us have an obligation to try and correct it where we can.”
