UN Ambassador Nikki Haley chastised Russia, Iran, and the Assad regime at a UN Security Council meeting on Monday, criticizing their disregard for civilian life in the Syrian civil war.

Haley, who stood up and showed the security council photographs of atrocities in Syria last year, refused to perform the same action this time around.

“I could hold up pictures of all of this killing and suffering for the council to see, but what would be the point?” she asked. “The Russian regime, whose hands are all covered in the blood of Syrian children, cannot be ashamed by pictures of its victims.”

The UN ambassador accused Russia and Iran of “enabling” the Assad regime’s brutality.

“Russia and Iran have military advisers at Assad’s airfields and operation centers,” Haley said. “When the Syrian military pummels civilians, they rely on the military hardware given by Russia.”

She further slammed Russia’s obstruction of any UN resolutions aimed at debilitating the Assad regime.

Earlier in the day, President Trump said the Kremlin would “pay a price” for the Syrian atrocity.
