Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) struggled to identify any specific policy proposals differentiated her from democratic socialists during an exclusive interview with MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt on Tuesday.

Hunt asked Harris about comments she made claiming that she is not a democratic socialist and asked her to explain the difference between a Democrat and a democratic socialist.

“I support capitalism,” Harris said.

Harris then began to reiterate her support for a Medicare for All health care system, which caused Hunt to ask Harris whether Medicare for All is a socialist policy.

“No, it’s about providing health care to all people,” Harris responded.

“So, I think it’s clear that the Democratic Party is going to have to wrest with this question: which of these policies are socialist, which of these policies are not?” Hunt said after airing a portion of her interview with Harris.

“She couldn’t identify necessarily, I mean, except to say, ‘I support capitalism,” any specific policy difference between her and Bernie Sanders,” Hunt added.
