"But for the letter he wrote on October 28, I would have won."

The Republican National Committee (RNC) posted a video of Hillary Clinton bashing former FBI Director James Comey at a recent event for his alleged involvement in her 2016 election loss.

A moderator at the event asked Clinton about Comey’s upcoming book, and what questions people should be asking Comey about his role in the election.

“I’ve never spoken to him. I’ve never met him. I’ve never kissed him,” Clinton said. “I think the analyses that have been done by a lot of independent folks like Nate Silver have basically said what I believe to be the case: but for the letter he wrote on October 28, I would have won.”

Clinton then cited the Philadelphia suburbs as an example of an area where she believes that Comey’s letter had impacted her.

“[It was] [t]he single event that changed peoples’ votes, and you have anecdotal evidence of that and you have survey evidence of that,” Clinton said. “There’s a company that does consumer feelings and sentiment. Some of you may work in an industry that uses that. And they had never seen a bigger drop then they saw, in sentiment toward me, until the Comey letter on October 28 happened.”
