NBC’s Jonathan Allen reported that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is still deeply divided and that the biggest force inside the Democratic Party is Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) electorate. He made the remarks during an interview on the “Jim Bohannon Show” on Monday.

During a recent appearance on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal,” Allen claimed that Bill Clinton is preventing members of the Bernie Sanders wing of the party from becoming part of the Democratic Party establishment.

Allen highlighted his reporting and then blasted the DNC’s Unity Reform Commission.

“It is called the Unity Reform Commission, but the unity part is lacking,” Allen said. “It’s basically the strength of the Clinton appointees versus the strength of the Sanders appointees.”

“Make no mistake, there is still a huge battle going on between these two sides,” Allen said. “A lot Democrats in Washington don’t want to talk about it, but the biggest force in the Democratic Party is the Bernie Sanders electorate.”
