Kellyanne Conway, in an appearance on Chris Stigall’s radio show on Philadelphia CBS 1210 on Thursday, compared the NFL’s New England Patriots to Hillary Clinton and their Super Bowl opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles, to Donald Trump.

Conway, a southern New Jersey native, has been trying to get President Trump, a noted Patriots fan, to switch teams for the upcoming game, she said.

The White House adviser first paid tribute to Patriots owner Bob Kraft, calling the businessman a “great American.” But then she went after the Patriots in the most vicious way a Trump adviser could.

“What the Patriots have done is laudable, but they got to come last year!” Conway exclaimed. “This is the people’s house!”

“The New England Patriots are like Hillary Clinton, the establishment – can’t lose, here you come again, you’re in the finals again and again and again,” she said.

Stigall cracked up at the comparison.

Coway then likened the Eagles to “insurgent candidate, ultimately successful, Donald J. Trump,” noting that the president won Pennsylvania in the 2016 election.

The Patriots and the Eagles will meet Sunday in the biggest football game of the year, the Super Bowl.
