Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) wouldn’t answer questions about whether she would campaign for Democratic National Committee (DNC) Vice Chair and Democratic candidate for attorney general of Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) during an interview on Sunday.

Ellison’s ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan accused Ellison of emotionally and physically abusing her during their relationship, allegations that Ellison denies.

NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Klobuchar if Ellison had adequately addressed these allegations and whether she would campaign with Ellison if he asked.

Klobuchar said that Ellison had done enough to address the allegations that she would vote for him but stop short of saying that she would campaign with Ellison.

“He has still addressing this to the people of Minnesota and I think it’s being reviewed and I know that he’s moving forward,” Klobuchar said.

Todd pressed Klobuchar on whether she felt comfortable campaigning for Ellison.

“Right now I am focused on Judge Kavanaugh. He hasn’t asked me to campaign with him,” Klobuchar said.

“So if he asked would you campaign for him,” Todd asked Klobuchar for the third time.

“I will campaign with our ticket when the time comes,” Klobuchar responded.
