President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said that he would do anything the president asked him to do during an interview on Tuesday, when asked if he would consider becoming White House chief of staff.

Host John Fredericks asked Lewandowski about his future, and if he would consider becoming chief of staff.

It has been reported that current Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly and Trump have a strained relationship.

“I love what I do, from the outside, I really do. That being said, John, I love my country, you know I do. I would do anything the president asks me to do,” Lewandowski said. “I will do anything the president asks me to do, but from a family side it is a huge sacrifice.”

“I love my country so much, if he asked me to come in and clean the floors – I would do that if that’s what the right thing to do was,” Lewandowski said.

Lewandowski then said whatever role he took in the Trump administration it would have to be a role that allowed Lewandowski to continue to work to make sure Republicans keep control of the House.

“That is really what the priority is for me over the next 189 days,” Lewandowski said.
