Retired Professor Wenguang Sun called into a Mandarin affiliate of Voice of America News on Wednesday to criticize the Chinese government’s human rights record.

As he discussed his opinions, police burst into his house and arrested him.

“What? Did I say anything wrong?” he asked the police. “It’s illegal for you to come into my home. I have my freedom of speech!”

The line cut out after his call for freedom of speech.
