A new poll of Democratic primary voters in Massachusetts’ 3rd Congressional District reveals that Gov. Charlie Baker (R-MA) enjoys a higher approval rating among the liberals than Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

The poll, from UMass Lowell Center for Public Opinion, found that 72 percent of Democratic voters view Baker favorably, while only 10 percent disapprove. This gives him a 62-percent net favorability. On the other hand, Warren enjoys only a 70-percent favorability rating, with a 54-percent net favorability.

The pollsters explained:

Baker is consistently ranked as one of the most popular governors in the country, battling with Gov. Larry Hogan (R-MD) for the top spot. The two governors enjoyed 69-percent and 68-percent approval ratings, respectively, in a July Morning Consult poll.

Both govern blue states, proving that Republicans can succeed even in the most liberal of states.
