In an interview with local Kentucky television station WDRB on Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) brushed aside House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) accusation of racism.

Pelosi claimed on MSNBC this weekend that McConnell’s desire to make President Obama a “one-term president” was “racist.”

“That is unthinkable,” she commented.

McConnell pointed out to WDRB that The Washington Post rebuked Pelosi’s claim, giving it a “Four Pinocchio” fact check.

“Nothing can be further from the truth,” he said. “She knows better, and I didn’t appreciate it.”

The Senate majority leader commented that Pelosi should “watch what she says.”
