Senate Majority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said Monday that the Senate would have an up-or-down vote on Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh “in the near future,” following new accusations of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh.

The New Yorker reported on Sunday allegations that Kavanaugh exposed himself while at college party as a freshman at Yale.

“I want to make it perfectly clear, Mr. President. Judge Kavanaugh will be voted on here on the Senate floor, up-or-down on the Senate floor,” McConnell said. “This fine nominee to the Supreme Court will receive a vote in this Senate in the near future.”
