A member of the caravan from Central America that has reached the U.S. border told CNN Wednesday that the caravan will wait at the border seemingly indefinitely if they aren’t allowed to enter the United States.

CNN’s Leyla Santiago reported that there about 60 tents set up at a shelter in Tijuana, Mexico and that the majority of the people there will be headed to the U.S. to seek asylum.

Santiago interviewed one of the migrants named Elena, a 24-year-old who claims she left Honduras because of violence.

Santiago asked Elena what she thought about President Trump saying that he doesn’t want the caravan to enter the United States.

Elena told Santiago that she believes what the migrant caravan is doing is legal despite what Trump might claim.

“That’s just something President Trump will have to accept,” Santiago translated.

Santiago then asked Elena what happens if they aren’t allowed to enter the United States.

“She says if they don’t take them in at the border, she will have to wait because she says she can’t go back to her country,” Santiago translated.
