An interview with “Fire and Fury” author Michael Wolff went off the rails on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday when the topic of rumors (started by Wolff) that President Trump was having an affair with UN Ambassador Nikki Haley came up.

Wolff claimed to an MSNBC panel that he never accused Haley of sleeping with Trump.

“Do you regret inferring anything about Nikki Haley?” host Mika Brzezinski asked him, claiming the entire credibility of the book rested on his answer.

“I didn’t infer anything about Nikki Haley. What I inferred was that many people around the president believes he is still involved with various women,” he responded.

The panel rejected his response, pointing to passages in the book that specifically name Haley and tying those passages to remarks he made on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Wolff rejected their assertions, claiming the parts referencing Haley were only discussing the UN ambassador’s ambitions to become secretary of state.

“Are you kidding? You’re on the set of ‘Morning Joe.’ We don’t BS here,” Brzezinski shot back. “This is awkward. You’re here on the set with us, but we’re done.”

The show then cut to commercial.

After the segment, Michael Wolff went off on Twitter after the segment, attacking the MSNBC show. He said “the President is right about Mika [Brzezinski],” referencing negative tweets about her, and accused the MSNBC hosts of relentless gossip about Trump’s sex life:
