Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Mick Mulvaney said that President Trump will not sign a tax reform plan that raises taxes on middle class Americans during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” on Sunday.

CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Mulvaney about the analysts that claim the Republican tax reform bill will raise taxes on lower-income Americans.

The bottom line is the White House. The president is not going to sign a bill that raises taxes on the middle class, period,” Mulvaney responded.

Mulvaney then explained on how fundamental assumptions of the analysts that Tapper cited were inaccurate.

“The bottom line is if we really believe that whatever comes out of the House and Senate Conference Committee before Christmas raises the taxes for the middle class the president is not going to sign it,” Mulvaney concluded.
