Senate Leadership Fund (SLF) released a new digital ad attacking Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) for failing Montana veterans on Monday.

The ad, which is titled, “Let Em Have it” is part of an “ongoing six-figure ad campaign targeting Senate Democrats running for re-election in states carried by President Trump,” according to a statement SLF released along with the ad.

“Politician Jon Tester sure acts tough on TV,” the ad’s narrator begins, which is followed by a clip of Tester saying, “When some bureaucrat back there stands in the way of Montana, I let ’em have it.”

The ad’s narrator asks if Tester “let ’em have it when VA bureaucrats failed our veterans?”

This question followed by news reports about how thousands of Montana veterans waited for care.

Another clip follows of Tester praising the Department of Veterans Affairs. “I think they’ve done a pretty remarkable job,” Tester said.

“Montana veterans struggled to get care,” the ad’s narrator said. “But where was Jon ‘let em have it’ Tester?”

Then another clip runs of Tester saying that he doesn’t believe former Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki should resign.

“So the next time you see Tester on TV,” the ad’s narrator said, “Let ’em have it for failing us in DC.”

“Jon Tester loves to brag in his ads about how tough he is, but the truth is he was the last guy left shilling for bureaucrats who abused our veterans,” Steven Law, the president of SLF, said in a statement about the ad.
