New Ads From Conservatives Going Up in 3 Key Senate Races

The Koch network, long allied with conservatives, is running new ads in three states that will help decide control of the U.S. Senate in 2018, according to reports out Wednesday morning.

New ads will air in Tennessee, Missouri, and Wisconsin. The latter two are pickup opportunities for Republicans, while the GOP is hoping to retain control of the U.S. Senate seat in Tennessee being vacated by Bob Corker.

Here’s The Hill‘s take on the ads (emphases ours):

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is putting nearly $5 million behind ads set to go live on Thursday in Wisconsin, Missouri and Tennessee attacking the Democratic Senate candidates for their records on taxes, spending and health care.

…The biggest spend is in Missouri, where AFP will put $2.1 million behind a 30-second ad attacking Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) as a “career politician” who voted for ObamaCare.

…AFP is also going after Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), another red-state Democrat, putting $800,000 behind an ad attacking the incumbent for supporting “higher taxes and more spending.”

…And AFP is spending $2 million on ads in deep-red Tennessee, where Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R) faces a tough challenge from former Gov. Phil Bredesen (D) in the fight to replace retiring Sen. Bob Corker (R).

Here are the ads for Tennessee, Missouri, and Wisconsin:
